One of the problems with getting an enhancement through Micromuse is they only seem to do them if a number of customers are interested in them. If you're a single customer logging a request, odds are you'll never see it come to fruition. Here we list enhancements that other INUG members have created with hope that if you see one that you like, you'll have your company name attached to it, so the odds of it being completed is increased.
Omnibus
NBS:044349 - The customer wants to have an enhancement for the password setting in the ObjectServer. The requirements are as following:
- user has to change password uppon first login
- password must be at least 8 chars long
- at least one char must be a special char e.g. a number
- password is to expire each 30 days
- the last 5 passwords must be unique
- each day password can be changed only once
NBS:045568 - Enhancement to enable conditional statements for the journal entries
This is a request that needs explaining. Basically, if you create a tool that has an automatic journal entry, and the SQL part of the tool is conditional, even if the conditions isn't met for the SQL part, the journal is inserted regardless. So, if you change the Acknowledge tool to require TicketNUmber <> , it would still put a journal entry in that states the alert was acknowledged, even though it wasn't.
NBS:019457 - Wants the ability to be able to use an ampersand ("&") in a URL, in a tool, for OMNIbus v7.
If you try to pass an "&" within a tool in v7, it automatically adds a space on each side of the ampersand.
NBS:033794 - Unknown option: pts/1 error received when utilities (nco_sql, nco_get_login_token, etc) use an incorrect whoami.
NBS:032903 - Gateway "-logsize" doesn't propagate to READ or WRITE log.

NCIL
- NCIL is the Netcool Include Library. It is a bundle of preconfigured rules files for the MTTrapd/SNMP Probe that can be dropped into an installation without (much) tweeking. These are enhancement requests to have products added to teh NCIL.
