Job Description
Requires strong background of implementing network management solutions using IBM/Micromuse Netcool application suite for Fault Management. Experience implementing Micromuse ISMs, Gateways, Impact and Object Servers a must. Work closely with other SW Engineers to develop and support OSS monitoring, polling and provisioning products for Cisco Router, Switch, IPT and Security devices. Includes work on Solution Architecture, Design, Development, Unit Testining, Integration Testing, and Deployment activities.
Skills Required
In addition to SW Eng III: Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple sub systems, design multiple subsystem architecture, and apply new technology independently. Problem solving requires originality and ingenuity using knowledge gained while specializing in field. Must understand related products' architecture as well as competitive products. Ability to apply advanced networking principles, theories and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Requires experience with multiple LAN/WAN and network layer protocols. Acknowledged technical expert in the technology. Ability to influence the development of industry wide standards and provides industry wide leadership. Netcool certified engineer or demonstrated deep experience implementing network management solutions using Micromuse Netcool and Quallaby. 0% Travel.
